Dr. LaLande, Talented and Sophisticated Las Vegas Kids Dentist

Dr. LaLande, Las Vegas pediatric dentist, uses a wide variety of state-of-the-art technologies to make sure your child’s teeth are in the best possible hands. Using a remarkable x-ray technology, intra oral cameras, diagnodent, and sterilization best practices Dr. LaLande offers your child the absolute highest quality available in the dental field today.

Las Vegas pediatric dentist, Dr. LaLande, uses Dental radiographs or x-rays as part of the total dental examination. Typically, children’s x-rays are taken at the initial dental exam and then are followed up ever 6-12 months, based on each child’s needs. There are a number of ailments that an x-ray can easily detect including impacted wisdom teeth, tumors, cysts, and cavities. Las Vegas kids dentist, Dr. Lalande, uses digital radiography, which uses 80% less radiation then average x-rays. Two dental x-rays deliver four times less radiation than a normal day of radiation received by playing in the sun. For this reason, dental x-rays are incredibly important and very safe.

The intra oral camera allows kids to relax in their chair while Las Vegas kids dentist, Dr. LaLande, observes a magnified image of your child’s mouth on a computer monitor. This not only helps find any problems, it also records the session for excellent record keeping.

Diagnodent helps find cavities. Even the smallest lesions can be seen during an incredibly early stage, which is very helpful towards quickly fixing the problem. Diagnodent has been given the ADA Seal of Acceptance and has become a standard of care.

For sterilization, Dr. LaLande, Las Vegas Pediatric dentist, uses Rapid Steam Autoclave at 275º F(35psi), for 15-20 minutes. We use Biological, Chemical and Mechanical indicators to monitor our sterilization process.
Disinfectants – These are used on chairs, counter tops, and other surface areas in all treatment rooms after each use.
Barrier Controls – As recommended by OSHA and CDC our office staff wears protective eyewear, mask, and new gloves for each patient. For each patient light covers, head rest covers, suction tips, air water syringe tips, bibs and any item used that cannot be sterilized are discarded.

Las Vegas kids dentist, Dr. LaLande’s goal is to provide the highest level of safety and comfort for our staff and patients.
