Las Vegas Pediatric Dentist Dr. LaLande loves helping Kids!

Dr. LaLande, a Las Vegas pediatric dentist, specializes in children’s dental health. She blends state-of-the-art-technology, award-winning doctoral credentials, and a sincere desire to help kids have great smiles and healthy gums and teeth.

Las Vegas pediatric dentist, Dr. LaLande, X-rays during the complete dental examination. Every 6-12 months X-rays are recommended, and are part of the initial dental exam.

Impacted wisdom teeth, tumors, cysts, and cavities are all detectable through X-ray scans. Las Vegas pediatric dentist, Dr. Lalande, uses a form of X-ray technology that uses 80% less radiation then average x-rays. Two dental x-rays deliver four times less radiation than a normal day of solar radiation. Dental x-rays are incredibly important and very safe.

Dr. LaLande also incorporates the intra oral camera in her practice, which allows kids to relax in while Dr. LaLande observes a magnified image of the child’s mouth on a computer monitor. The magnified view is an incredibly powerful resource in the fight against cavities. The sessions are also recorded, which allows for a timeline of dental health to be visually recorded, establishing a record that helps Dr. LaLande diagnose more accurately and efficiently. In addition to the intra oral camera Dr. LaLande also uses Diagnodent, which helps find incredibly small cavities. Even the smallest lesions can be seen helping to quickly fix the problem. Diagnodent has been given the ADA Seal of Acceptance and has become a standard of care.

Dr. LaLande was honored with the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence in 2005 and was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Nevada. She received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD) at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry in 2008.

Dr. LaLande, Las Vegas pediatric dentist, is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Nevada Dental Association. She is Board Certified and also acts as a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
