Does your teen suffer dental issues regularly? If so, they are most likely not keeping up on oral hygiene the way they should. This is a problem because oral hygiene can help keep your teen’s teeth and gums in tip-top shape. Without it, your teen can suffer cavities, enamel erosion, gum disease, and more. So, it’s best to help your teen keep their smile in top-notch condition by doing the following things:

-Make sure they brush, floss, and rinse. In fact, they should brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, they should floss daily with a product that is easy to use, and they should rinse daily with antibacterial or fluoride mouthwash.

-If they have braces, make sure they follow the hygiene instructions provided by their orthodontist. This means they need to avoid eating sticky and chewy foods and they also need to brush and floss frequently, like after each meal and snack.

-Make sure they attend their dental checkups every six months. This is vital because the treatments provided help prevent the most dangerous dental issues in the world today: tooth decay and gum disease. So, make sure they keep up with their appointments regularly.
