In some ways, it may seem absurd to speak about how you’ll tell when your baby is teething. You’ll recognize the signs immediately, and everyone within earshot will too; the baby’s not exactly going to be silent about it. But it’s best to be prepared to aid your child immediately so you can keep the crying for a minimum, for your crying and the baby’s.
Take note that not all children show the same signs of teething; most children will initiate teething between the ages of half of a year and one year. A few of the symptoms of teething include drooling, swollen gums, teeth visible beneath the gums, sleeping irritability, rejecting food and attempting to chew, suck and press their teeth into everything. If your child has a rectal temperature greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit, please contact our office right away. Other signs you should give us a call about include vomiting, diarrhea and refusal to eat food or to feed.
